COVID-19

An important message to our patients of Chicago Glaucoma Consultants regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

As part of the effort to stop the COVID-19 pandemic, we would like to info you of the changes we are making to our office schedule.

Effective March 23, 2020, we will be seeing EMERGENCY and URGENT patients ONLY. All patients will be scheduled in spaced intervals to avoid having people in our waiting area. If you are coming in for an appointment and require a driver, please have your driver wait in the car for you. If you require assistance, only have one person accompany you in.

    Precautions we are taking in our office:
  • • All staff/tech in direct contact with patients will wear masks and thoroughly wash hands when entering and exiting the room
  • • All rooms will be thoroughly cleaned after each patient and will have spaced time of 30 mins before using that room again, to allow disinfecting agents to function.
  • • Waiting area will be wiped down hourly
  • • Waiting room within the office will be reoriented to provide space between patients in accordance to social distancing guidelines.

Keep in mind that we will continue to reassess this policy as we move forward through these next few weeks, in hopes that we will return to our regular office schedules as soon as possible.

If you believe that you or a family member has been exposed to COVID-19 or have symptoms, we ask that you do NOT come to our office. Instead, we ask that you call and speak with your primary care doctor, so that we can help arrange a controlled evaluation in the safest way possible.

We realize that this represents an inconvenience by disrupting routines and forcing rescheduling appointments. However, this matter is imperative to flatten the curve and protect our patients, our staff and our community.
